Sam just had her driving ban overturned on appeal, after she was clocked doing 75km/h in a 40 zone.

The media personality lost five demerit points and copped a three-month licence suspension after she was caught by a speed camera on Sydney’s Eastern Distributor in August.

She was on her way to work at 3.45am, and due to road works, the speed limit in the tunnel was 40km/h instead of the usual 80.

Sam successfully appealed in Downing Centre Court on Tuesday, arguing there was inadequate signage warning drivers of the road works in the tunnel.

‘It was very disappointing and cost me a lot of time, money and stress to appeal this RMS (Roads and Maritime Services) decision,’ she told The Daily Telegraph.

Sam was able to continue driving while her appeal was active.

‘I know I’m one of tens of thousands caught doing the same thing in the same spot and I decided to fight it on the basis that their signage is totally inadequate,’ she said.

Sam wrote an appeal letter to the RMS in November saying she needed her licence for work and for her family.

‘Having regard to my good character and driving history I am a fit and proper person to hold a licence,’ she said.
