Amanda smiled towards the camera in the sun-drenched image wearing delicate gold jewellery and a white summery blouse.

The mother-daughter duo looked angelic and relaxed in their holiday snap posted on Instagram.

The TV presenter lives in Richmond-upon-Thames with her musician husband, Chris Hughes, and their two daughters, Lexi, and Hollie Rose Hughes, eight.

The pair originally met in 2003 in Los Angeles but began dating a year later.

They tied the knot in 2008 at St Margaret’s Church in Somerset and held their reception at Babington House – the same lavish wedding location as TV host James Corden and his wife, Julia Carey.

Their eldest daughter was two at the time and she attended the extravagant ceremony.

The couple have suffered hardships in their relationship such as the loss of their baby son, Theo, in 2011.

Amanda gave birth to her stillborn child when he was seven months old and credits Chris for being her rock through difficult times.

She said to Hello!:  ‘Chris is very funny and errs on the side of lightness.

‘We can make jokes out of any situation throughout the best and darkest times of our lives.

‘He’s rubbish at romance, but he’s there for the solid things – such as keeping my car clean and making sure I relax.

‘He’s a proper bloke who looks after me. I’m a strong, opinionated woman, but he helps steer the Mandy ship.’

Sources have claimed the shows will air on ITV this autumn after they were postponed due to the coronavirus crisis.

Insiders added that it’s likely only the final of BGT 2020 will air live, with some acts performing from their home country due to travel issues brought on by the pandemic.

A source told The Mirror: ‘The idea is to get the run finished before Strictly is out of the blocks.

‘It’s a natural replacement for The X Factor. Even if a full audience isn’t possible, it’s looking like we may be able to get a smaller one, with gaps between the groups, and enhance the sound afterwards.

‘We always say that the audience is like a fifth judge so that’s been a great relief.’

A representative for Britain’s Got Talent declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.

Just a month earlier it was reported the Britain’s Got Talent had rescheduled their live shows until the end of the year, after it was confirmed The X Factor would not air this year.

ITV bosses had hoped to air the live shows this summer, but due to COVID-19 restrictions this became impossible.

The prerecorded auditions still aired as planned in April and a source told the Daily Star bosses had initially hoped there would only be a gap of only a few weeks before the live shows.

The insider added: ‘However, with measures still in place and lockdown only just starting to be released the plan is now for BGT lives to return at the end of the year.

‘With the X Factor on ice for 2020 there is a Syco-shaped hole in ITV’s schedule so this would fit perfectly.’

It was previously reported Britain’s Got Talent and Strictly Come Dancing are set for an Autumn ratings battle as both shows are set to air on the same weekend.

The ITV talent search show could air its live semi-finals in September following a delay because of COVID-19 however this coincides with Strictly’s launch show.

A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: ‘Both are hugely popular and this will split the audience if they are on at the same time. Both the Strictly launch show and the first proper dancing episode both air in September.

‘But that’s when Simon Cowell and the BGT producers are planning on airing the semi-finals now they have their line-up locked in.

‘They could try and air the semi-finals across a full week, but the final episode will likely clash with Strictly.’

They also reiterated that this clash is due to coronavirus messing with the TV schedule.

BGT judge Amanda Holden has previously said she and her fellow judges, Simon, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon have been given an Autumn date for filming to resume.

However, that will depend on what social distancing guidelines are still in place as the show will not go ahead without a live audience.

She explained: ‘All of the main judges have been given a date to hold in early autumn to see if it works live.

‘But we would never do it without an audience because we’ve always said the British public is the fifth judge.

‘So we can’t do it without them – it would be no fun without them! We’ll see what happens, but we are planning to do it this year.’

On Thursday, Amanda reminisced about the day she and her husband, along with their daughters, moved into their ‘perfect home’ five years ago.

She posted a snap to Instagram of Chris – with whom she shares daughters Alexa, 14, and Hollie, eight – carrying her over the threshold of the property on a sunny July day.

Amanda stunned in the image in a blue and white spotted dress as Chris grinned for the camera, holding his wife in his arms.

The pair have been married for over a decade and on Wednesday playfully admitted she has issued a warning to Chris after ‘catching him’ raiding the fridge in the middle of the night.

Speaking on her Heart Radio breakfast show, the actress told her co-host Jamie Theakston her husband needs to ‘cover-up’ his snacking sessions after discovering he had eaten her cheesy puffs and Tiramisu.

After venting about her husband’s late-night snacking habits, Amanda said there would be retribution.

‘I’ve come down before, I’ve had buttery knives, crumbs, all kinds of things. I looked in the fridge and the Tiramisu was gone, the one I had been saving for tonight.

‘I left him a note saying “let’s look at the evidence, shall we?” He will be quivering in his bee box by the time I get home.’
