TALK OF THE TOWN: Is Prince Andrew set to lose £13million on a quick sale of his Verbier skiing chalet?

Could Prince Andrew be willing to make a stunning multi-million-pound loss on a quick sale of his Verbier skiing chalet?

My spies tell me the Prince has told agents to accept £5 million for the property if a deal can be done by Christmas

The seven-bedroom lodge, jointly owned with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, went on sale for £18.3 million earlier this year.

The pair are said to be desperate to shift it to repay part of a reported £6.7 million debt. A spokesman for the Prince said: ‘It remains on the market at the asking price.’

But if you have a spare £5 million – and fancy a chalet which reportedly boasts a 650 square foot indoor pool, sauna, sun terrace and bar – it might be worth a try…

Word reaches me that Prince Harry’s best friends Thomas Van Straubenzee and Thomas ‘Skippy’ Inskip have postponed the baptism of their children, hoping the wayward Royal can attend once Covid restrictions allow.

It’s a tradition that if you have a close Royal friend, they become godparent – so the postponement could signal a warming of relations between Skippy and Harry after Skippy failed to make the guest list for the Prince’s wedding reception.

Harry and Meghan had been guests at Skippy’s nuptials in Jamaica but he and wife Lara were leapfrogged at Harry’s do by celebrities including Oprah Winfrey and the Clooneys.
