Taylor Swift puts THAT Cats disaster behind her with new acting role in David O. Russell’s A-list movie alongside Margot Robbie and Christian Bale


Taylor Swift is back to acting.

The pop superstar, 31, has been cast in director David O. Russell’s latest feature, set to work opposite Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek and Zoe Saldana, according to Variety.

This will be Swift’s first role since 2019’s adaptation of Cats, which was a critical disappointment and a box office flop.

There are few details about the project, with the title of the film and plot details still remaining secret.

The film, which was directed and penned by Russell, has already completed production and Disney’s 20th Century Studios will be releasing the project.

This will be the filmmaker’s first return to the big screen since 2015’s Joy with Jennifer Lawrence. 

He’s revered for Oscar-winners like American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook.
