Taylor Swift will perform her hit song Betty at the Academy of Country Music Awards marking her first ACM performance in seven years

After a seven-year absence, Taylor Swift is making her return to the Academy of Country Music awards later this week.

The 30-year-old singer will be performing her hit single betty from her album Folklore from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashsville, according to an ACM presss release.

ACM also tweeted out the news that Swift is performing at the awards show, which will air live Wednesday, September 16 at 8 PM on CBS.

Swift joins a stellar list of ACM performers that have already been announced for the awards show, which will air from three iconic Nashville music venues – Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, and The Bluebird Cafe.

Other performers include Jimmie Allen, Kelsea Ballerini, Gabby Barrett, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay and Florida Georgia Line.

Also performing during the telecast will be Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, Old Dominion and Thomas Rhett featuring Jon Pardi, Blake Shelton featuring Gwen Stefani, Tenille Townes, Carrie Underwood, Morgan Wallen and Trisha Yearwood.

Keith Urban is hosting the 55th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards this year, with more performers to be announced in the coming days.

Swift is coming off the release of her hit album Folklore, which was a surprise release that debuted with just one day’s notice.

The album sold a whopping 1.3 million albums worldwide in as little as 24 hours and remained #1 on Billboard’s charts for six consecutive weeks, which is the longest consecutive run at #1 since 2016.

Cardigan, her first single off the critically adored album, debuted No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. 

Folklore, which also debuted No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, marked Taylor as the first artist ever to debut at No. 1 on both the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 in the same week. 

Folklore is the top selling album of 2020 and already lauded, album of the year by critics and fans all over the world.

Swift is the American Music Awards’ Artist of the Decade, the only artist in history to have four consecutive albums sell over one million copies in their week of release.

She is also the only artist to have seven albums each sell at least 500,000 copies in a single week. 

She is also the first and only female artist in the 21st century to score five #1 studio albums in the UK.
