Taylor Swift ‘won’t be performing’ during Super Bowl’s LVII halftime show

Taylor Swift will not be performing at next year’s Super Bowl halftime show.

Both People and TMZ shot down theories that the 32-year-old Red singer may be on stage on February 12, 2023 when the final football game of the season takes place.

It has been revealed that Taylor was offered the halftime show but the singer ‘turned it down’ because she wanted to first finish re-recording her first six albums, per TMZ.

The star was approached ‘months ago’ for the role but she made it clear she isn’t plan on performing until she completes re-recording her music.

Taylor reportedly ‘wants’ to headline but she has to finish re-recording four albums, including Taylor Swift, Speak Now, Reputation and 1989.

This comes after Swift’s followers came up with the theory that she would be the game’s main songbird.

After the NFL made a big announcement on Thursday at midnight, fans felt they were on to something.

It was shared that Apple Music will be sponsoring the show after Pepsi dropped out in May.

Nope: Taylor Swift will not be performing at next year’s S uper Bowl halftime show. Both People and TMZ shot down theories that the 32-year-old Red singer may be on stage on February 12, 2023 when the final football game of the season takes place; seen on September 9 in Toronto

And though Swift’s name was not mentioned for Super Bowl LVII, her fans thought it is obvious that the blonde beauty will be involved due to the timing of the announcement.

The clues are a bit far reaching but they made sense to her fans.

The top clue was that the NFL’s announcement that Apple Music was the halftime sponsor was made at midnight and Swift has a link to midnight: she often makes her announcements at midnight, she uses the word midnight often in her work, and her next album is titled Midnights.

Her fans have come up with a long list of why they think Swift will be the Super Bowl’s halftime performer.

In the past, the songbird has announced new work at midnight.

The Bad Blood crooner also uses the word midnight often in her work.

And her next album, which comes out next month, is titled Midnights.

And then there is her Midnights Mayhem With Me series on TikTok. On the platform she has been announcing the track titles from her upcoming album every night.

The tracks are revealed one by one at midnight.

And then there is her link to Coca-Cola. She has repped the brand for a while now which may explain why she never was the Pepsi sponsored performer for the halftime show in the past.

Coca-Cola and Pepsi are fierce rivals and do not like to overlap in any way.

Swift’s fan were convinced there is a connection between the halftime show and the superstar.

The announcement read: ‘We are proud to welcome Apple Music to the NFL family as our new partner for the iconic Super Bowl Halftime Show.

‘We couldn’t think of a more appropriate partner for the world’s most-watched musical performance than Apple Music, a service that entertains, inspires, and motivates millions of people around the world through the intersection of music and technology,’ said the NFL’s Nana-Yaw Asamoah of the partnership.’
