The business guru turned eco-activist plotting to wreck the Grand National: This is going to be spectacular

A senior activist plotting to wreck the Grand National is a former top financial journalist and business guru, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

Jim Edwards is the founding editor of the website Business Insider in the UK and an ex-fellow at Columbia Business School in America.

In 2018 he was pictured with London Mayor Sadiq Khan at the website’s ‘Tech 100 Reception’.

He left the website last year and published a book entitled Say Thank You for Everything: The secrets of being a great manager.

The book was reportedly inspired by his experience of helping transform ‘a small unread blog into a business with 200 million readers and hundreds of employees, which finally sold for $442 million’.

He now provides Animal Rebellion with media advice and has attended at least two animal rights marches.

Last month he joined protesters at a ‘sit in’ at Scott’s restaurant in Mayfair and was pictured being carried out by bouncers.

He said he was unable to get involved with Animal Rebellion while working for Business Insider.

He told our reporter he was ‘excited’ about the Aintree protest, which he said would be the group’s ‘biggest spectacular… to date’.
