These stories prove the customer is NOT always right

The customer is NOT always right! Twitter users share horror stories about VERY bad customer behavior, from idiotic questions to infuriating complaints

  • Twitter user @WelshDalaiLama asked others to share stories about silly, stupid, and confused customers
  • He wrote: ‘They say “the customer is always right”. Tell me a story of a customer you’ve encountered that proves this motto spectacularly wrong’
  • Hundreds of people have since replied to share their experiences

If there’s one cliché most people can agree is not actually true, it’s that ‘the customer is always right.’ Sometimes, they are horrifyingly, frustratingly, and embarrassingly wrong.

On April 5, Twitter user Dai Lama (@WelshDalaiLama) asked others to share their best tales of mistaken, stupid, and belligerent customers.

He wrote: ‘They say “the customer is always right”. Tell me a story of a customer you’ve encountered that proves this motto spectacularly wrong.’

Hundreds of people replied with anecdotes, including of a customer who ordered a ‘cappuccino’ with no milk or foam and another who complained of ‘too much cream’ on his scone — which he had put on himself.

Here, FEMAIL has rounded up some of the funniest and most mind-boggling stories — which may make you think twice before losing your patience with a retail worker or waiter in the future.

Seriously? One man sent back a scone with 'too much cream' — which he'd put on the scone himself, and apparently didn't realize he could also scrape off
