Travis Scott deleted Instagram to ‘focus on family’… not for being roasted over Halloween costume

Travis Scott fans feared that their trolling went too far after the Sick Mode rapper deleted his Instagram following a weekend of getting roasted for his brown Batman costume.

But Scott’s social media departure had nothing to do with Halloween, according to an insider who spoke to Page Six.

The source claimed that Travis, who shares two-year-old daughter Stormi with on/off ex Kylie Jenner, has temporarily deactivated his account to ‘focus on his family.’

‘Halloween had nothing to do with it,’ they explained. ‘He is focusing on his family and their well-being and wants to influence his fans to do the same instead of being so consumed with social media.’

Hoping to set a good example for his followers, Scott’s source said he thinks it’s ‘important’ to focus on the world beyond the internet, especially during ‘such a critical time in the world right now.’

As on Tuesday the star’s Twitter was still active but had not been used since last Monday, October 26th.

The Texas-born rapper rocked his custom chocolate brown Batman costume to Kendall Jenner’s 25th birthday bash this past Saturday.

Though Travis – born Jacques Berman Webster II –  pulled out all the stops for his costume, fans were quick to mock his look online.

While some thought that Travis was overwhelmed by trolling, others believe deleting the IG page was a way to drum up some buzz for new music.

Scott released Franchise Remix featuring Future, Young Thug & M.I.A. in early October, though it’s not clear if more music is on the way or not.
