Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis ADMITS to making false claims about 2020 election

Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis ADMITS to making false claims about 2020 election fraud as she is censured in Colorado for trying to overturn Biden’s win

  • Jenna Ellis admitted in Colorado court proceedings that she spewed ‘misrepresentations’ about the outcome of the presidential election
  • She was part of former President Donald Trump’s 2020 election legal team alongside Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell
  • Colorado’s top disciplinary judge Bryon Large wrote that Ellis had agreed she made 10 misrepresentations on Twitter and during television appearances

Jenna Ellis, one of former President Donald Trump‘s 2020 election lawyers, admitted in Colorado court proceedings that she spewed ‘misrepresentations’ about the outcome of the presidential election.

Ellis, alongside former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and conspiracy theorist Sidney Powell, were the faces of Trump’s effort to overturn President Joe Biden‘s 2020 win by claiming there was widespread voter fraud.

Last year the bipartisan watchdog group, 65 Project, filed a complaint accusing Ellis of professional misconduct with the aim of getting her disbarred in her home state of Colorado.

In a decision released Wednesday, Colorado’s top disciplinary judge Bryon Large wrote that Ellis had agreed she made 10 misrepresentations on Twitter and during television appearances during November and December of 2020.

Those misrepresentations included tweets in which she said the ‘election was STOLEN’ to longer statements saying that there was evidence widespread fraud occurred.

‘We have affidavits from witnesses, we have voter intimidation, we have the ballots that were manipulated, we have all kinds of statistics that show that this was a coordinated effort in all of these states to transfer votes either from Trump to Biden, to manipulate the ballots, to count them in secret,’ Ellis, for instance, said on Fox Business’ Mornings with Maria Bartiromo on November 20.

Large wrote that Ellis and the state of Colorado came to an agreement that she made these statements with ‘at least a reckless state of mind.’

‘The parties agree that Respondent, through her conduct, undermined the American public’s confidence in the presidential election, violating her duty of candor to the public,’ the judge’s opinion continued, adding that Ellis ‘had a selfish motive’ and ‘engaged in a pattern of misconduct.’

The punishment was a public censure, though Ellis did not lose her ability to practice law in the state of Colorado.

On Twitter Thursday, Ellis said it was a legal victory as 'Democrats and Never Trumpers' didn't succeed in getting her disbarred in the state of Colorado

On Twitter, Ellis called it a legal victory.

‘This was politically motivated from the start from Democrats and Never Trumpers. They ultimately failed to destroy me and failed in their attempt to deprive me of my bar license. I’m glad to have this behind me and remain in good standing in the State of Colorado,’ she tweeted in a message to ‘every news outlet that has reached out, will reach out, or pretended to reach out to me or my lawyers.’

Additionally, she tweeted a statement from her lawyer Michael Melito.

‘My client remains a practicing attorney in good standing in the State of Colorado. In a very heated political climate, we secured that correct outcome,’ Melito said.
