‘The Uber platform has become a gateway to the world of e-commerce and small business…and an increasingly valuable accessory for everyday life – every hour of the day,’ the company said in a statement.

‘We are making it easier than ever for Australians to harness the full Uber experience.

‘The Uber app is connecting more people with more businesses and opportunities across Australia and we are going to have these evergreen features embedded into Uber Pass on day one.’

Membership is tipped to be readily available no later than May 23 for millions of users who already have Uber apps on their smartphones.

To launch it, users need to simply open the app before selecting the three vertical dashes on the top left of the screen.

Next thing to do is select Uber Pass and follow the prompts.

Similarly, users can open the Uber Eats app and select account at the bottom right, then scroll through to select Uber Pass for access.
