UFC star Chris Weidman makes an INCREDIBLE recovery from his double leg break as he posts video of himself walking unaided just 35 DAYS after suffering the horrific injury in his defeat against Uriah Hall

Chris Weidman has posted an incredible video of himself walking without crutches, just 35 days gruesome double break at last month’s UFC 261.
The former middleweight champion’s bout against Uriah Hall on 25 April was waved off after Weidman broke his right tibia and fibula following a leg kick thrown in the opening exchange by the 36-year-old American.
Weidman, also 36, was stretchered out of the octagon and arena before undergoing surgery where a titanium rod and four screws were inserted into his leg to help treat the injury.

In an Instagram post he said he was told by doctors that it would be ‘eight weeks until I can walk without crutches and stuff and drive and all that.’
But in a video posted on his Twitter account, the New York-born fighter showed he is incredibly walking again already and accompanying the video wrote: ‘I’m walking on my own! Big day baby!! Thanks for all the love and support.
‘Inspired by you all.’
In the clip, an excited Weidman, who cannot contain his smile, says: ‘Oh my gosh, let’s go for a walk. Let me text the doctor.’

Weidman’s injury is considered one of the worst suffered in MMA history and has previously revealed a gruesome X-ray image of what his snapped leg looked like before his surgery.
Messages of support from the MMA community flooded in for The All-American following his injury in Jacksonville, Florida, and the 36-year-old took to Instagram earlier this month to reveal concerns over a possible amputation of his leg.
‘I was pretty scared about this pain because I’m thinking about the worst-case scenarios,’ he said.
‘Worst-care scenario is that the blood supply doesn’t come back to my bone and doesn’t take, which would mean possible amputation.’

Weidman revealed in an Instagram video post that he faced a similar conundrum following his fight with Kelvin Gastelum in July 2017 after sustaining an injury to his thumb.
Weidman also said medical staff told him it could take six to 12 months before he’s allowed to train again.
Hall was officially declared the winner at UFC 261, but he said that he ‘owes’ Weidman a rematch because of the horrific nature in which things unravelled.
