Upcoming season of Married At First Sight to feature ‘celebrity cast twist’ as the latest participant is identified

Married At First Sight is meant to be a program about regular people finding love.

But it appears the upcoming show will feature several familiar faces, with the latest participant identified as an online host on Fintech.TV.

Georgia Fairweather, 25, is set to bring her years of experience behind the camera to the upcoming Channel Nine reality show.

The Brisbane-based equestrian rider and bikini model is expected to find love on the show, according to celebrity gossip website, The Wash.

Georgia will join previously announced bride Booka Nile, singer of Perth group Make Them Suffer, who was featured in the show’s new trailer.

The 2021 series will also feature famous grooms including Hit 104.7 radio presenter Bryce Ruthven and former AFL star Jake Edwards.

Brisbane theatre star Johnny Balbuziente, will be one of three grooms to intrude later on in the series.

Having previously performed in shows including George’s Marvellous Medicine and Fantastic Mr Fox, it’s no secret that Johnny is already a showbusiness veteran.

Others to take part in the upcoming season include former police officer-turned-Pilates instructor Connie ‘Coco’ Stedman, and Jason Engler.

The show will also feature Melbourne businessman James Susler, who is set to bring plenty of drama to the show.

The latest reveal comes just days after Channel Nine offered viewers a sneak peek at the upcoming series in a trailer of forthcoming 2021 highlights.

Speaking at Channel Nine’s Upfronts last month, a Channel Nine executive said the ‘Zoom casting process’ had uncovered the most genuine participants yet.

They added that the 2021 series was ‘about finding love, not fame’.

Married At First Sight will premiere on Channel Nine in the New Year.
