Video footage which was reportedly recorded by the agent assigned to the Del Rio Sector’s Carrizo Springs Station shows the suspect handcuffed and sitting on the edge of a van’s seat.

On two occasions the woman is asked by two U.S. Border Patrol officers to ‘put your feet in’ so that they could shut the van’s doors close.

The woman fails to acknowledge their requests as she stares at the ground.

‘We’re going to close the door; you’re going to stay right there before we move,’ one of the agents said.

The woman subsequently lets out a loud noise and growls before she makes a move for the officer as he tried to close the door.

The woman continues to growl as she is told to ‘calm down’ while they attempt to keep the door closed. She is then able to step out of the vehicle while one of the border agents struggles to maintain the door as closed as possible to prevent her from perhaps leading them on a pursuit.

An agent then warns her, ‘Ma’am, we’re going to have to taser you and you’re not going to like that.’

A CBP official  told DailyMail.com that the Del Rio Sector prosecuted 856 human smuggling cases in fiscal year 2021, which spanned from October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021.

Figures for fiscal year 2022 were requested by DailyMail.com before the story was published.

CBP reported 1,734,686 encounters with undocumented migrants who were stopped by U.S. Border Patrol agents for unlawful crossing of the United States-Mexico border between October 2020 and September 2021. But it appears fiscal year 2022 could eclipse the previous 12-month period's totals as 518.360 interdictions have been registered from October 2021 to December 2021
