Feeling ha-pea? Hungry retail worker discovers ‘world’s happiest pea’ with a ‘grinning face’ while eating her mother’s roast chicken dinner

A hungry retail worker was stunned to discover the ‘world’s happiest pea’ grinning back from her fork – but gobbled it down anyway.
Kimberley Ross was tucking into a roast chicken dinner made by her mother Donna Ross, when she glanced down at the plate and spotted a ‘grin’ peeping out from under other vegetables.
After fishing it out, the 34-year-old shop worker was thrilled to discover a ‘face’ on the pisum sativum – complete with two eyes and a beaming grin.
After taking a quick snap to show friends and family, Kimberley scoffed the vitamin-rich vegetable, as she’d ‘already eaten his mum and dad’ and didn’t want to leave him ‘orphaned’.

Kimberley said spotting the happy-looking veg ‘made her day’ and shared the snap of it on social media on December 20.
The post, which branded the vegetable the ‘world’s happiest pea’, achieve almost 1,000 likes, shares and comments on social media.
Kimberley, from Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, said: ‘We were sat down in the front room, I had the meal on the tray.
‘I happened to look down and I spotted a bit of the mouth on the pea. I was like “I’m sure that looks like a face”.
‘I uncovered it and it was staring back up at me with the biggest smile on its face.
‘I just had to show everyone in the room – and I took a photo.
‘It made me really happy to see it, it made my day.’

Kimberley, whose partner is 27-year-old NHS worker Jaime Timms, said after discovering the ‘happy’ pea she’s now keeping her eyes peeled for other funny faces.
Kimberley said: ‘I’ve never had anything like it before and since then I’ve always looked out for little faces on things.
‘I did eat the pea. I’d already eaten his mum and dad so I couldn’t leave him an orphan.’
Kimberley shared the picture on Facebook where thrilled social media users commented on how happy it looked.
