British dog experts have compiled a list of the best dog breeds to match each star sign, according to their personality traits.
The research found that water signs including Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio were best matched with ‘fun and affectionate’ dogs including Chihuahuas and Greyhounds to balance their ’emotional’ side.
Meanwhile ‘brave’ Leos teamed well with dogs such as St Bernards, to match their ‘heroic’ side, while hardworking Virgos should opt for dogs with similar traits such as the husky.
Camille Ashforth, Senior Brand Manager at pet food retailer Webbox Naturals said: ‘While these doggy star sign compatibility suggestions are just a bit of fun, we hope it encourages potential new owners to think carefully about taking on a dog that really suits their lifestyle.
‘Pet ownership is a wonderful and amazing experience, but when bringing home a dog, you really do have to think about every aspect of your life and how owning a dog will fit into this – from the size of your home, garden and monthly budget, not just your zodiac sign.
‘We love dogs of all shapes and sizes. We would urge any potential dog owners to consider adopting a dog from one of the many rescue centres across the UK and beyond before bringing a new dog home.’
Aries March 21 – April 19
Due to their fun personalities, Aries star signs are best paired with playful dogs, such as the Labrador Retriever, the Portuguese Water Dog, and the Golden Retriever (pictured).
