Parents are shocked by the huge changes coming to Aussie favourite TV series Bluey

The popular Australian children’s TV show Bluey is making changes in regard to its structure and when fans can view the program.

ABC Kids has revealed the latest part of Australia’s number one children’s TV series will have nine episodes.

The episodes will also only air weekly on Sundays from April 9 until June 7 at 8am and 6:20pm on ABC Kids and ABC iView . Previously there were 26 episodes released on consecutive days.

‘The move to Sundays allows families to relax and watch their favourite show together without the rush of work or school/daycare routines,’ a spokesperson told FEMAIL.

Bluey’s voice cast has also welcomed Adam Hills, Neil Finn, Mick Fanning, Carrie Bickmore, and Kate Miller-Heidke to the hit show as they bring new characters to life.

All three seasons of Bluey will have 52 episodes, but Series 3 has more of a staggered release than its predecessors.

Series 3’s final six episodes are expected to release close to the 2023 holiday season at the end of the year.

The cartoon about blue heeler puppy Bluey and her adventures has become a worldwide phenomenon since starting in 2018.

‘During these exciting new episodes, Bluey, the loveable and inexhaustible little Blue Heeler dog, Mum Chilli, Dad Bandit, little sister Bingo and their friends embark on more endearing and elaborate games and adventures that will delight young and old,’ said a spokesperson.

A few storylines viewers can look forward to were revealed, such as trips to the seaside and backyard playhouses.

‘Bluey takes the everyday events of family life, like making a cubby house and a trip to the beach, and turns them into unique gameplay, creating idiosyncratic adventures out of everyday moments.’
