Unseeded teenager Iga Swiatek became the youngest female French Open winner in 43 years after she thrashed fourth seed Sofia Kenin in the Roland Garros final.
The 19-year-old, ranked at 54 in the world, got off to a fast start and took the opening three games before sealing the first set 6-4.
Kenin, who won the Australian Open earlier this year, broke early in the second, but Swiatek broke back straight away and claimed the second set 6-1.
Iga Swiatek beat Sofia Kenin to become the youngest French Open female winner in 43 years
Swiatek, who beat top seed Simona Halep last week, has won her first Grand Slam singles title, having never gone past the fourth round in a major tournament before this autumn.
