A young man is fighting for life in hospital with massive injuries all over his body after being hit by a truck on a busy highway.
Paramedics rushed to to the Western Ring Road in Sunshine West, Melbourne, about 9.40am after shocked witnesses called triple-0.
The man in his 20s was treated at the scene and rushed to The Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition
Paramedics were called to the Western Ring Road in Sunshine West around 9:40am on Wednesday morning, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a truck
The collision closed all Atona-bound lanes of the major freeway and caused standstill traffic, however they were reopened just after 11am.
It is understood the truck driver stopped to help at the scene.
