Preston 0-5 Brentford: Promotion chasing Bees up to third in the Championship table after convincing win at Deepdale
- Brentford now nine points behind second placed Watford with a game in hand
Brentford are up to third in the Championship table after thrashing Preston 4-0 at Deepdale.
The Bees were 20 up at half time thanks to goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Marcus Forss.
Thomas Frank’s side sealed the emphactic victory with another three strikes in the second half courtesy of Ivan Toney and Sergy Canos. Emiliano Marcondes added a fifth in stoppage time.
The win leaves Brentford nine points behind second placed Watford with a game in hand, while Preston remain 16th.
