Tickets for the AFL Grand Final at the Gabba in Brisbane sell out in 20 MINUTES – as greedy scalpers list them online for thousands of dollars

Tickets to the AFL Grand Final sold out in minutes before popping up again on Gumtree at massively-inflated prices.
The historic clash between Richmond Tigers and Geelong Cats at the Gabba in Brisbane is set for Saturday night with the crowd capped at 30,000.
Tickets starting from $185 went on sale to the general public for the first time in 20 years on Tuesday morning, and sold out within 20 minutes.

‘The AFL is pleased to announce the general public on-sale for the 2020 Toyota AFL Grand Final at the Gabba is currently sold out,’ AFL said in a statement.
‘Tickets, via the Ticketmaster platform, sold out in just under 20 minutes this morning.
‘Further tickets may become available as a result of unused allocations.’
But scalpers have already listed Grand Final tickets on Gumtree, with some listed for thousands of dollars.
One seller offered two grand final tickets for $2,000, while another is selling four for the same price.

A Gumtree spokesman called on fans to ensure the ‘legitimacy and terms and conditions’ of the tickets when speaking to a seller.
‘We have strict terms of use that each user needs to accept before listing on Gumtree,’ he told 7News.
‘As the AFL grand final is being held in the Gabba in Queensland this year, local legislation states that it is illegal for anyone to resell tickets at a price greater than 10 per cent above the original ticket price.’
Furious fans who missed out on tickets took to social media to express their disappointment
‘So disappointed to have missed out on AFL Grand Final tickets,’ one person wrote.
‘Got in the queue half an hour before grand final ticket sale the on sale time, and got in the queue and sold out 20 minutes later. What a joke,’ another wrote.
‘Damn was gonna try for a grand final ticket but ended up being 13k back in the queue despite clicking as soon as it opened. Think all the tickets are sold out now,’ someone else commented.
