Anton Du Beke celebrates his 54th birthday with twins George and Henrietta, three, in heart-felt snap… a month after his son was hospitalised

He had a nervous visit to the hospital last month after his toddler son underwent an operation.

And now, Anton Du Beke is making the most of brighter days as he celebrated his birthday on Monday with his angelic twins. 

The Strictly Come Dancing star posted an adorable snap to social media as he received two kisses on the cheek for his 54th birthday from George and Henrietta, three.

Anton shares his twins with his wife Hannah Summers, 43, and after enduring the ‘gruelling’ IFV process they announced their pregnancy in 2016. 

The TV dancer looked content as he leaned in for a birthday kiss from his two children in an unknown but nevertheless picturesque location. 

His toddlers looked delightful as they cuddled up to their father in the pic and Anton captioned the image: ‘Happy Birthday Daddy!’

The professional dancer apologised on Twitter earlier this month for cancelling teaching lessons in order to be at his son’s side after he had surgery.

He updated his followers that George was feeling better and in ‘fine fettle’ as he thanked his supporters for their well-wishes. 

Anton wrote: ‘Morning my loves! Thank you all so much for your kind messages about George – delighted to say all’s well and he’s in fine fettle!

‘Apologies for the class cancellations last week – let’s get back on track this week – starting with our new Choreo session for Monday morning!’ 

The ballroom aficionado revealed that his son is now home following his stay in hospital and he thanked the NHS for their ‘amazing’ work throughout the whole process.

He added: ‘But don’t worry, he’s all ok now! A huge thank you to all the brilliant @NHS Doctors & Nurses for looking after us – you’re all simply amazing. Anton XX.’

The father-of-two did not elaborate on what operation George needed to have, or what were the reasons for his surgery.

Anton made a guest appearance on The One Show in March, where he told hosts Alex Jones and Chris Ramsay about the joys of spending time with his loved ones. 

He gushed: ‘I spend everyday with Hannah and the babies and it’s been the most wonderful thing! So if we talk about silver linings, it’s the most wonderful thing.

 ‘It’s just gorgeous and a wonderful thing to be able to do, to spend all of your time with your children and Hannah of course.’

Despite spending all the time he possibly can with his family, Anton can’t quite believe how quickly time flies, he said:  

‘The babies, as you know, people say ‘don’t blink’ because it goes so quick. And it’s absolutely the case, it goes so fast!’
