Arnott’s has teased shoppers with two never-before-seen Tim Tam flavours – but only one variety will join the classic range on supermarket shelves.

The iconic biscuit brand is giving Australians a choice between Dark Choc Banoffee and Caramelised Pineapple, with the winning flavour launching in Coles from July 19.

Both contending flavours are new tropical varieties – and will sure attract voters from both ends of the indulgent chocolate spectrum.

The banoffee variety features two crunchy biscuits sandwiched together with a creamy banana flavoured cream and gooey caramel centre, covered in indulgent dark chocolate.

While the second contender consists of two crunchy chocolate biscuits sandwiched together with a caramelised pineapple flavoured cream and gooey caramel centre, covered in milk chocolate.

‘There’s no denying Tim Tam is Australia’s most loved chocolate biscuit and we have always been passionate about new varieties and flavours,’ Matt Grant, Arnott’s marketing manager, said.

‘We can’t wait to see how many get involved this year and what Australia decides! Democracy at its finest.’

Last year, nearly 640,000 Australians participated in the new flavour vote – that’s more than the amount of 101,826 votes tallied in the 2020 ACT general election.

Double Choc Caramel took out the winning crown in 2020 to become available for purchase in stores – and this year will be no different.

To pick a winner, Australians can cast their vote by visiting the Tim Tam Instagram from now until Sunday, April 18.

The new and winning Tim Tam flavour will be announced the day after voting closes.
