Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies defends James Corden’s food tantrum: ‘As a famous person people do f*** with you’

Australian comedian Jim Jefferies has defended James Corden‘s food tantrum.

Corden, 44, who is best known for hosting The Late Late Show in the U.S., was banned from a hip New York hot spot last week after abusing the staff.

‘As a famous person…people try to f*** with you,’ the 45-year-old funnyman told Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday.

During the interview Jefferies admitted that Corden did not sound like he was ‘very nice’ to staff, which triggered the incident.

But he went on to suggest, jokingly, that celebrities because of their fame, can fall victim to pranks from the public, especially from restaurant staff.

Sandilands agreed and made a suggestion that fast-food staff were soiling his meals with their bodily fluids.

‘Are they [fast-food staff] j***ing in my burger as I go through the drive-thru?’ the radio host asked.

Jim went along with Kyle’s tasteless joke: ‘Not in a drive thru,’ the controversial comedian said, ‘not enough time.’

Elsewhere in the chat Sandilands jokingly said that ‘servers’ – the waiters responsible for delivering food to guests at restaurants – were ‘low level’ and were ‘allowed to be abused’.

Henderson objected to the suggestion immediately: ‘Don’t say that!’

It comes after Corden declared he ‘didn’t do anything wrong’ after fiery restaurateur Keith McNally – owner of NYC hot spot Balthazar – demanded Corden apologise to his staff.

Corden apologised for being rude to two young servers after he was called out by the Balthazar owner on Instagram.
