The director of an online sex toy brand has revealed which products have been best-sellers for years and which are no longer in ‘fashion’.
Lovehoney‘s Bonny Hall said that Australia’s love affair with ‘The Rabbit’ vibrator continues to break records with it being the website’s most popular toy for the 10th year in a row.
It’s well liked for its scientifically proven ability to give women ‘longer and more pleasurable orgasms’.

‘In terms of trends in vibrators we’ve seen huge changes when it comes to the technology available to us,’ she said.
‘The motors being used are more powerful, smaller, quieter and have more features/functions designed to wow the customer.
‘The materials that toys are made from are also changing with more silicone toys on the market than ever before.’

There are far more toys available than ever before that are ‘non penis shaped’ but the traditional ‘realistic’ vibrators are still very popular.
‘We have dildos and vibrators that can perform one or more of the following functions: rise, realistic feeling, remote controlled, rotate, squirt, thrust and are pose-able,’ Bonny said.
‘The timeless realistic shape is definitely here to stay but the tech is moving into the 21st Century.’
One of the most successful products to come out of 2018 was the ‘Uprize’, the world’s first self erecting dildo.
‘We have dildos and vibrators that can perform one or more of the following functions: rise, realistic feeling, remote controlled, rotate, squirt, thrust and are pose-able,’ Bonny said
‘At the touch of a button the realistic dildo goes from flaccid to erect and also offers a vibrating function and remote control technology,’ she said.
But there was one type of sex toy adventurous spirits are shying away from, mainly because they’re turning to a different product instead.
‘Anal beads are one of the product types that have fallen out of fashion,’ she said.
‘They used to be the go to “beginners” anal toy, the perfect way to introduce a partner to anal play.
‘We’ve seen this change over the past five years with more people opting to try non vibrating butt plugs as their first anal toy.’
