BREAKING: At least three people are shot at Xavier University during a high school graduation ceremony

  • At least three people were shot at the end of a Morris Jeff High School graduation ceremony on Tuesday at Xavier University, in New Orleans  

At least three people have been shot on Tuesday at the conclusion of a high school graduation ceremony taking place at Xavier University, in New Orleans. 

New Orleans police said they have arrested a suspect who allegedly opened fire at the parking lot outside the Convocation Center venue once the graduation ceremony ended. 

The suspect and the victims have yet to be identified, with New Orleans EMS quickly transporting the injured to a local hospital. 

Witnesses told Fox 8 that a fight had appeared to broken out following the graduation ceremony, with about five to 12 gunshots allegedly fired as a result.
