And Cate Blanchett proved there’s no rest for the wicked as she attended the world premiere for her new TV series Stateless alongside co-star Yvonne Strahovski during the 70th Berlinale International Film Festival, held at Germany‘s Zoo Palast on Wednesday evening.

Stateless will air on the ABC network in Australia and Netflix worldwide from March 1, and focuses on four strangers, whose lives begin to intertwine at an immigration detention centre.
The four characters are an airline hostess fleeing a cult, an Afghan refugee fleeing persecution, a young Australian father escaping his job and a bureaucrat caught-up in a national scandal.
When their lives collide, they are pushed to the absolute brink of their sanity, and surprising connections begin to form.
This year’s festival, which showcases the best films of international cinema, kicked off on February 20 and is due to conclude on March 1.

Meanwhile, the Carol star is set to star in the upcoming thriller Nightmare Alley, which will be directed by Guillermo del Toro.
In the film, blonde beauty Cate will play a a female psychiatrist who teams up with a corrupt con-man, to trick others into giving them money.
The con-man will be played by Bradley Cooper, with Rooney Mara, Willem Dafoe and Toni Collette rounding out the cast.
