A former child star who earned fame starring alongside Blake Lively and America Ferrera in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants has proudly defended herself as a ‘Christian gun owner’ after revealing her beliefs have earned her hatred from critics online.

Jenna Boyd, 26, who is from Bedford, Texas, took to the popular social media app TikTok to reveal the three topics for which she receives the harshest criticism – while taunting her haters with a sassy snapback.

‘Honestly, I really only get hate for about three things,’ she confessed to the camera. ‘One, being a gun owner. Two, running my skincare business, and three, being a Christian.’

Boyd went on to detail the comments she will receive, but said she remains unbothered by the criticism – and even took the opportunity to laugh in the face of the hatred she receives.

‘People say all kinds of things like, “How do you sleep at night?” And, y’all, all I can tell you…if you really you want to know, it’s after I’ve said my prayers with some bomb night cream on my face and with a loaded 38 special underneath my bed,’ she continued.

There’s only a few instances when Boyd, who earns money through skincare MMC Rodan + Fields, has publicly shared being a gun owner, but it apparently has still encouraged commenters to attack the star.

After sharing the video on TikTok, Boyd received an influx of comments that ranged in criticism from her owning a gun to pride in the actress for speaking her mind on the issue.

Most people confessed they had no issue with Boyd being a Christian, but her being a gun owner was a problem for some.

‘Gun owner? Sorry I really like u and I won’t ever judge someone’s religion or whatsover but I’m gonna unfollow bc I won’t ever support this,’ a former follower wrote.

Frustrated: 'People say all kinds of things like, “How do you sleep at night?”' Boyd said during the video. But she was unwilling to let negative comments bring her down

Another person commented: ‘This is not a personality trait sister.’

Boyd also gained support from followers who also owned guns or respected people who owned them.

‘Omg I love you even more now that i know you’re a christian & you own guns,’ one fan wrote.

Hollywood, in general, is known for being on the more liberal side when it comes to politics, so Boyd speaking out her pride in being a gun owner goes against what people typically hear from celebrities in the industry.

Besides appearing in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Atypical, Boyd previously starred in Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star with actor David Spade when she was younger.
