Conor McGregor reveals sensational plans to fight Manny Pacquiao next in the Middle East as he rants about why he decided to retire from the UFC

Conor McGregor has made sensational claims he will fight Manny Pacquiao in a blockbuster clash in the Middle East.

The retired UFC star released a flurry of tweets on Friday night as he tried to explain the reasoning behind his decision to walk away from the sport earlier this summer and even showed private Instagram messages between him and Dana White

McGregor had several dates offered but revealed that he decided to retire – his third in just four years – when the coronavirus pandemic hit after being told he would have to wait to fight until fans could return.

The Irishman then went on to write: ‘Anyway all water under the bridge who gives a fook. I’m boxing Manny Pacquiao next in the Middle East.’

It is often wise to take what McGregor has to say with a pinch of salt but this crossover fight has been talked about for some time and would generate serious interest.

McGregor and Pacquiao are two of the biggest fighting stars worldwide.
