Conservative supporters mock devastated Labour supporters

Conservative Twitter users are revelling in their predicted victory by mocking devastated Labour supporters.

Left-wingers are expressing their anger at the ‘rich, privileged white men who’ve ruined our country’ as an exit poll indicates a majority for Boris Johnson – with a predicted 368 seats compared to 191 for Jeremy Corbyn

Mr Corbyn appears to have presided over the worst performance for his party since 1935 – and his fans took to social media to express their severe dismay at Britain’s voters.

The Canada hashtag also started trending, with people expressing their desire to move away and be ‘saved’ by Justin Trudeau

Conservative fans delighted in the outpouring of ‘lefty tears’, posting memes that mock their left-wing rivals’ distraught Twitter posts.

One amused Twitter user said: ‘Are you getting ready to drink all those lefty tears? I think we’re going to need a bigger cup’

The SNP are predicted to get 55 MPs – approaching a clean sweep in Scotland – and the Liberal Democrats effectively stalled on 13 after an all-out Remain campaign by leader Jo Swinson – who could now lose her own East Dunbartonshire seat.

Without explicitly claiming victory this evening, Mr Johnson tweeted a ‘thank you’ to ‘everyone across our great country who voted, who volunteered, who stood as candidates’.

One user responded: ‘Fascism, the country voted for fascism.’

Another said: ‘I’m going to apply for a French passport. I can take my family with me. I can’t take it.’
