COVID-19: Rebecca Judd tells fans ‘buy a coffee machine’ before lockdown

How the other half panic buy: Rebecca Judd tells fans to buy a coffee machine and six months’ worth of beans from local roasters before going into coronavirus lockdown

It’s no secret footy WAG Rebecca Judd enjoys the finer things in life, and it seems her bourgeois tastes extend to coronavirus panic buying.

On Sunday, she encouraged her Instagram followers to buy their own coffee machines and stock up on six months’ worth of beans from local roasters so they could enjoy barista-quality lattes during lockdown.

‘If you’re a caffeine addict like me, get your beans sorted. You’ve got to get your caffeine issues in order,’ Rebecca said, before clarifying that her public service announcement was only ‘tongue in cheek’.

Bec and AFL star husband Chris Judd share for children: Son Oscar, 8, daughter Billie, six, and twin sons Tom and Darcy, three.

‘I’m thinking if cafes and restaurants close, and they are saying a lockdown is imminent, I would go and get yourself a coffee machine and get your beans sorted. This is if you’re a caffeine addict like me,’ she said.

While Bec said supermarkets will continue to sell coffee beans, she admitted that she favoured ‘really good beans’ by professional roasters.

‘We don’t know what’s going to happen to the places who roast the beans, they might have to get shut down because it’s seen as non-essential… even though I think it’s essential,’ the Channel Nine presenter said with a chuckle.

‘If I don’t get my coffee in the morning and I’m stuck at home with four kids, I’m going to go crazy,’ she said with a laugh.

The KIIS FM 3PM Pick Up radio host went on to say that she had placed a ‘huge order’ of six-months worth of beans to avoid going without.
