Cristiano Ronaldo shared a video of himself on a treadmill as he sent out support to his team

And he shared another post just hours before his team-mates took on old rival Lionel Messi and Co.

The Portugal captain uploaded a video of himself running on a treadmill in his Juve kit before performing his trademark celebration.

‘Come on guys! All together! Til the end!,’ he wrote, the clip both designed to show support for his team and demonstrate that the virus is not causing him any ill effects.

Ronaldo has been self-isolating at home in Italy since he tested positive for coronavirus while away on international duty with Portugal over two weeks ago.

The 35-year-old recorded another positive result last Thursday and had hoped to return to action for Wednesday’s clash but another positive result on Tuesday dashed his hopes.

Ronaldo was asymptomatic when he tested positive days after playing for Portugal against France and Spain and has continued to display no symptoms.

Friends have revealed that he ‘feels like a beast forced to stay in cage’ while frustrated in quarantine, revealed Tuttosport, as reported by Calciomercato.

Ronaldo’s reunion with rival Messi was the pick of the ties when the Champions League groups were drawn but fans will have to wait until December 8 for the match-up. Two of the sport’s greatest ever players have not faced each other in the Champions League since the semi-final between Real Madrid and Barcelona in the 2011-12 season.

The Portugal superstar has missed three matches for Juventus already – Andrea Pirlo’s side beat Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League last week but have been held to two draws in Serie A
