Cristiano Ronaldo‘s sister Elma Aveiro has taken to Instagram to share a picture of Lionel Messi worshipping her brother following their encounter on Tuesday.
Aveiro posted on social media after Ronaldo scored twice from the penalty spot to help Juventus beat Barcelona 3-0 and seal the top spot in Group G.
After returning to the Camp Nou to face Messi for the first time since 2018, Ronaldo insisted he had never seen Messi as a rival. However, it appears his sister seems to think otherwise.

Aveiro shared a BT Sport graphic that saw Messi bowing down to Ronaldo while he performed his trademark celebration. Her caption read: ‘My king. The best ever. The pride of my life.’
Fans were quick to comment on the picture, with some Barcelona fans jumping to Messi’s defence.
One user wrote: ‘If I was Messi’s brother I would never post such disrespectful photo showing a celebration of your ****ing bro. Never thought that Ronaldo’s sister is so salty.’
Another added: ‘This is a joke. Messi is a GENIUS. Cristiano NEVER gonna reach that level. Messi humiliated him so many times. ( it’s seems like you don’t have memory..) enough of wanting to even put it him on the same level. it’s disrespectful to football.’
While Ronaldo’s fans praised Aveiro for her post and called the Portugal international the ‘real goat’.

The Messi v Ronaldo debate has dominated world football for the last decade as both players have achieved some mind boggling stats in their time.
Ronaldo has picked up five Ballons d’Or while Messi has claimed six. Whereas the Portugese international has claimed five Champions League titles compared to Messi’s four.
Despite allegations of fierce rivalry between the pair, Ronaldo has played down any tensions between himself and Messi.
Football Espana reported that he said: ‘I have always had a cordial relationship with Messi. As I have said before, for 12, 13, 14 years, I have been sharing prizes with him.
‘I never saw him as a rival. He always tried the best for his team, and I tried the best for mine.
‘I always got on well with him. I am sure he will say the same if you ask him. But we know in football, people always look for a rivalry to create more excitement.’
