Dancing On Ice’s Kevin Kilbane and Brianne Delcourt are ENGAGED

Kevin Kilbane and Brianne Delcourt have got engaged after two months of dating. 

The couple, who first met in October when they were partnered on Dancing On Ice, revealed the news on Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a video of the big moment. 

The former football player, 42, was seen singing a song to his pro skating partner while in STK steakhouse before dropping to one knee and popping the question. 

Brianne, 39, wrote on Instagram: ‘He couldn’t have been more perfect I love you @kdkilbane77 . 02.04.2020 [ring emoji] (sic)’. 

She also shared a clip of the moment Kevin got down on one knee, which was greeted by plenty of applause and cheering. 

A waiter then brought over a cake and a sparkling ring to the table, as a shocked Brianne accepted his proposal. 

The engagement topped off a celebratory weekend for the pair, who had enjoyed a romantic getaway in honour of their birthdays last weekend.   

The pair first met when they were partnered up on the skating show in October, and were revealed to have started dating in December. 

Their Dancing On Ice journey came to a swift end, however, as they became the fourth couple to get eliminated from the show on Sunday night. 

Despite being voted off by the judges, the lovers admitted they had gained the ultimate prize – each other. 

Kevin said: ‘I didn’t need to come on the show, it’s been an incredible run. ‘ 

Asked if they will continue skating together, he replied: ‘Absolutely, Definitely. It’s fixed my posture in many ways. 

Meanwhile, Brianne gushed that it had been a ‘life-changing’ experience meeting her partner on the show. 

The couple recently admitted that they have no plans for their relationship to be long-distance, despite Brianne living in Canada and Kevin residing in Ireland.

Meanwhile, Kevin has two daughters, 16-year-old Elsie and 14-year-old Isla, with his ex-wife Laura, who he split from in 2011 after 12 years of marriage.

The pair tied the knot when Kevin was just 22 and he has blamed the split on the couple being ‘naive’ about settling down at such a young age. 

Brianne has hit the headlines with her past relationships, having previously romanced her Dancing On Ice celebrity partners Matt Lapinskas and Sam Attwater as well as Danny Young, who was partnered with Frankie Poultney.  

Brianne dated former EastEnders star Matt after they were paired together on the 2013 series but they split after claims he cheated on her with two other women.

She previously dated Danny Young in 2010, with the couple moving in together shortly after the Dancing On Ice tour ended. 

Once the next series started in 2011, however, it was reported that the couple had split after Brianne started rehearsing with actor Sam Attwater, but their relationship ground to a halt once the series had ended.  

Brianne recently insisted that Kevin isn’t part of a pattern, as she gushed to OK magazine: ‘There is no comparison of Kevin to the guys I used to date.

‘He’s perfect and my best friend. Kevin has all the boxes checked for what I’m looking for in my life.’

Brianne added that having her daughter changed her temperament as she used to be a ‘party girl’, but now wants ‘contentment and to settle down’.

Kevin previously revealed that he knew ‘straight away’ that he had feelings for pro Brianne.

The retired footballer said on Friday’s Lorraine that their romance ‘happened very quickly’, while Brianne gushed that she ‘adores him.’

In their first TV interview as a couple, Kevin recalled how it was almost love at first sight when he was paired up with Brianne.

He said: ‘When we first met four months ago, everything happened very quickly, it absolutely did. I certainly knew straight away that was it, yeah.

‘I had huge reservations when I signed up for the show but then Brianne and I got together and it was great, I could have quit before the show started and I would have been happy. Everything’s been great, everything’s gone really well.’

Brianne also gushed that she ‘adores’ Kevin, but admitted that being in a relationship with him has made it harder to remain strict during their training sessions.

She said: ‘Im used to being a tough coach, but it’s a bit hard with Kevin because obviously there’s feelings involved, I adore him, so it’s hard. 

‘Even if I do try to be hard, he just laughs at me.’

Asked whether their relationship has helped with their chemistry during performances, Brianne said: ‘There’s a natural connection, it’s not put on, it’s real and we enjoy each other.’

Kevin added: ‘I’m not saying I’m at any sort of level but I wouldn’t be at the level I am without Brianne.’

Brianne also said that she and Kevin were originally hesitant to speak publicly about their romance.

She said: ‘I think because Kevin is quite private, and I try to keep things private, at first we didn’t want to say too much but it was a bit obvious. We didn’t want to keep it a secret.’
