Dannii Minogue wears a face mask during hairdresser visit ahead of filming The Masked Singer… after causing a furore for skipping hotel quarantine after return from the U.S.

She is set to begin filming Channel Ten’s The Masked Singer this week.

And on Thursday, Dannii Minogue, 48, treated herself to a day of pampering ahead of returning to work on the celebrity talent show.

The Australian singer shared a photo to Instagram of herself wearing a protective face mask while visiting a hairdresser in Melbourne.

She captioned the post: ‘I’m at fotinihatzis’ salon getting ready to film Masked Singer on the weekend so… There will be no video.’

In the photo, Dannii had foil sheets in her hair as she sat in a chair and posed in front of the mirror.

Earlier this month, Australians were outraged when Dannii avoided hotel quarantine after flying into Queensland from the United States.

The singer and her 10-year-old son, Ethan, were reportedly granted an exemption on medical grounds after Dannii apparently presented a letter from her doctor upon her arrival to Australia.

Dannii and Ethan were believed to have gone straight to a Gold Coast home after leaving the airport, and remained there for the duration of their 14-day quarantine.

No one was allowed to visit the property where she was staying, and Dannii and her son weren’t allowed to leave until their quarantine period was up.

Some members of the public claimed this is ‘ridiculous and unfair’ as other travellers are being forced to pay a $2,800 hotel quarantine bill upon their return to Australia.

Inbound travellers are being made to quarantine in hotels at their own expense to limit the spread of COVID-19, as the country faces the threat of a second wave of infection after cases spiked in the state of Victoria.
