David Arquette spotted sporting a scruffy look while out

David Arquette was spotted out and about sporting quite the scruffy look in Los Angeles on Friday.

The 48-year-old actor was spotted in a rather colorful ensemble as he headed out solo.

The actor’s outing comes just days after it was revealed that he will return as the lovable Sheriff Dewey Riley in a new Scream reboot.

Arquette was spotted wearing a white printed shirt while carrying a small pile of other clothes to his car.

The Eight Legged Freaks star was also wearing red, white and purple pants with black splotches, with a grey beard growing out.

The actor completed his look with a pair of Air Jordan 3 Retro ‘Animal Instinct sneakers, while seen leaning against his car to compose a text.

Arquette was revealed to be reprising his role as Sheriff Dewey Riley in the upcoming Scream reboot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

‘I am thrilled to be playing Dewey again and to reunite with my Scream family, old and new,’ Arquette said in a statement. 

‘Scream has been such a big part of my life, and for both the fans and myself, I look forward to honoring Wes Craven’s legacy,’ he added.

Wes Craven directed the first four Scream movies, before passing away from a brain tumor at the age of 76 in 2015. 

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready Or Not) taking over as directors on the reboot, working from a script by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) and Guy Busick (Ready or Not).

Arquette may be joined by Neve Campbell, who has been in talks to return as Sidney Prescott from the original franchise. 

It is not known if Arquette’s ex-wife Courteney Cox will be returning to the reboot yet, as news anchor Gail Weathers.

Arquette and Cox were married in 1999, three years after the first Scream movie hit theaters, and they share a daughter, 15-year-old Coco.

Arquette and Cox split in 2010, with the divorce finalized in 2013, and he married Entertainment Tonight correspondent Christine McLarty in 2015, and they have two kids together.
