David Beckham showed off his acting chops as he filmed a hot tub scene for the latest episode of Modern Family alongside Courteney Cox.
The footballer, 44, and the actress, 55, play themselves in the series where they were joined in the scene by show stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, while Stephen Merchant also returned to the show.
The duo made cameos in the episode titled The Prescott, which saw Alex (Ariel Winter) move into a swanky apartment building and all her family crash to use the posh amenities – and try and meet David.

The plan paid off for Mitchell (Jesse) and Cam (Eric) as the pair were in a hilarious hot tub scene with the sports star and the Friends actress.
Stephen, 45, reprised his role on the show of Higgins, the concierge butler, who helps everyone out while also stripping off to go on a slide with Gloria (Sofia Vergara).
In the episode, David and Courteney get into the hot tub, thinking they are meeting their bowling instructor to get ready for a celebrity tournament.
Instead they first end up in the jacuzzi with Manny (Rico Rodriguez) and Luke (Nolan Gould) who think they are meeting two 40-year old women there for a date.

Later, Higgins pulls a few strings and Mitch and Cam end up in the hot tub with David and Courteney who don’t realize the couple are recording them for their outgoing phone messages.
Higgins is summoned by Gloria after she gets stuck on the water slide and he climbs on to try and help her out.
In October, David confirmed rumours that he was set for a cameo in the comedy’s final season alongside Courteney as he went on to share a snap with her while reading a script.

Courteney also shared a picture, where David stripped off into a pair of swimming trunks to show off his hunky physique while posing with the actress.
She joked that the pair were ‘Too hot in the hot tub!’ as they joined the Modern Family alumni in the water.
And in David’s snap he looked incredible excited as he held onto a script and joked: ‘I met a new FRIEND today at work.’

It comes after David’s wife Victoria, 45, joked he had a new ‘Modern Family’, as the Beckham brood posed with Mitchell Pritchett in a throwback snap from three years ago.
She wrote: ‘3 years later, @davidbeckham found a new #ModernFamily. Episode launching tonight in the US at EST 9PM! PS- nice T-shirt @romeobeckham x VB’.
David also uploaded on his own profile. The retired footballer beamed as he posed with his sons Romeo, 17, Cruz, 14, and daughter Harper, eight, with the comedy show’s iconic cast.
