‘You gave me the courage to get back into it’: MAFS star Dean Wells shares inspirational messages he received from fans following stint on Dancing With The Stars

Dean Wells was the first celebrity to be eliminated on this year’s season of Dancing With The Stars.

But despite being the first star to be eliminated from the series, it seems the 46-year-old former Married At First Sight ‘villain’ was a hit with fans.

On Tuesday, the reality star shared some of the inspirational messages he received on Instagram following his stint on the Channel 10 dancing competition.

‘My DMs are a constant source of inspiration and entertainment. Thank you to all the people that write me nice messages,’ Dean wrote alongside several screenshots.

One fan revealed they were so inspired by the reality star’s dancing that they started dancing again.

‘You gave me the courage to get back into dancing and I was devastated when you left the show you were improving extremely well every week,’ the fan wrote.

To which Dean responded: ‘Aww thanks so much! I was devastated to leave,’ along with a crying face emoji.

Another message shows Dean giving words of advice to a passionate dancer.

‘I doubted myself for the first few days then after about a week, I had learnt a whole 1.5 minute routine. Believe in yourself. You got this!’ he replied.

The reality star was sent home packing after he failed to impress judges Mandy Moore, Sharna Burgess and Tristan Macmanus with his interpretation of the cha-cha-cha.

At the time he was given an underwhelming score of 11, coming in last at tenth place.

It comes after he swore off drinking alcohol and unhealthy foods in order to compete on Channel 10’s toe-tapping show.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph last month, Dean explained he’s ‘putting his head down’ for the competition.

‘I have changed all my eating habits and I don’t drink,’ he said.
