  • He turned down Rangers in 2017 and led Aberdeen to League Cup in 2014 

Aberdeen’s long-serving manager Derek McInnes is parting company with the club after eight years in charge, according to reports. 

He led the Dons to a League Cup win in 2014 having been appointed boss the previous year, also guiding them to four second-place finishes in the Scottish Premiership. 

The Sun report that McInnes is to leave the club along with his assistant Tony Docherty following talks with owner Dave Cormack.
