Disabled motorcyclist cops a barrage of abuse and threats from father and son in viral video

‘I’ll knock you clean out’: Shocking moment an amputee motorcyclist cops a barrage of abuse from a father and son who thought he parked too close to their car

  • A dad has faced court for allegedly threatening to bash an amputee motorcyclist
  • The heated incident was captured in an eight-minute long viral body cam video
  • The man and his son both had their charges upgraded to common assault

A dad who was filmed allegedly threatening to ‘knock out’ an amputee motorcyclist faces up to three years behind bars after his charges were upgraded.

The 46-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was captured on bodycam footage by another rider outside a Hungry Jacks in North Queensland‘s Mackay, allegedly hurling abuse at the motorcyclist for parking too close to his vehicle.

He initially faced Mackay Magistrates Court on one count of threatening violence against Shane Kapitzke, but on Wednesday in court the charge was replaced with common assault, the Daily Mercury reported.

The man is alleged to have walked towards Mr Kapitzke with closed fists shouting ‘I’ll f***ing knock you clean out c**t’.

Under Australian law, a charge of assault does not necessarily require any physical contact or bodily harm.

The man’s 17-year-old son was also charged with the same offence and is set to face Mackay Childrens Court.

A viral eight-minute clip of the incident shows how the tense situation unfolded.

‘Step away from the f**king car mate. Your bag is hitting it,’ the alleged offender wearing shorts and a North Queensland Cowboys singlet can be heard telling the motorbike rider who has parked next to his SUV.

‘You’re a f**kwit c**t. Don’t touch the f**king car with your bag c**t.’

‘Me mum’s got to get in the car. How is she going to open the door d**k head,’ his son can be heard saying.

‘You’re lucky you have a f**ked arm c**t or you’d be getting punched in the f**king head,’ the father said

But Mr Kapitzke does not move his motorbike despite the tirade.

‘You’re lucky you have a f**ked arm c**t or you’d be getting punched in the f**king head,’ the father says.

His son can then be heard calling the amputee a ‘fat f****t’.

After the heated verbal exchange continues, the father is then seen walking toward the motorbike rider with clenched fists standing inches from his face, shouting: ‘What was that you f**kwit c**t?’

When Mr Kapitzke tells the two men to get back in the car, the dad tells a woman in the passenger seat to hold his two soft serve ice creams.

He then points his finger in the face of the amputee and says ‘don’t touch our f**king car again c**t’.

At this stage Mr Kapitzke shouts back at the two and says ‘don’t point your finger at me c**t’.

The argument continues for several minutes with an array of vulgar and juvenile insults repeated dozens of times.

Eventually, the pair get back in the car and drive off.

The court was told the father was applying for Legal Aid and asked for the matter to be adjourned.

The case will continue before the courts next month.
