They have become good friends with actor Chris Hemsworth since moving to Byron Bay in 2019.
But did The Block winners Elyse Knowles and Josh Barker take inspiration from Chris when they named their first child Sunny?
Following the couple’s baby announcement on Monday night, fans couldn’t help but notice that Sunny is also the name of Chris’ dog.

Chris and his wife, Elsa Pataky, are proud owners of a Groodle – a cross between Golden Retrievers and Poodles – by the name of Sunny.
The pooch made headlines in 2019 after she went missing near the Hemsworths’ home in Broken Head, near Byron Bay.
She ran off after being zapped by an electric fence, and went AWOL for three days.

Chris and Elsa were desperate to find their beloved dog and enlisted the help of family, friends and neighbours to find her.
Luke Zocchi, the Thor star’s longtime friend and personal trainer, also shared a ‘Lost Dog’ post on Instagram.
Sunny was found three days later thanks to the efforts of the Byron Bay community.

Elyse, 28, and Josh, 31, announced Sunny’s birth in an Instagram post on Monday.
The couple shared a black and white picture of the child’s feet, with the caption: ‘The next chapter in our lives. The best chapter yet. And it’s called Sunny. Sunny Barker’.
The announcement was delayed, as their baby was actually born on February 25.
They haven’t disclosed the child’s gender, but many fans have assumed it’s a boy.
