‘I don’t want him to go back!’: Emily Andre admits she’s loved Peter staying at home during lockdown as couple discuss keeping their children out of spotlight
Emily Andre has joked that she ‘never’ wants husband Peter to return to work, as she’s enjoyed spending more time with him in lockdown.
Speaking about their marriage with The Sun on Friday the doctor, 30, claimed there were times she felt like ‘a single parent’ because the singer, 47, was away so often because of his profession.
She explained: ‘I don’t want him to go back to work, ever! There’s been a lot of times since we’ve been together that I feel like a single parent.

‘When Millie was a newborn — she was probably six weeks old — I was a new mum and really young, and he was away filming 60 Minute Makeover.’
Emily admitted she struggled when the pair first moved to Surrey but has since built a ‘support network’ for when he’s away, though she said it was ‘nice’ for him to be around during lockdown.
Emily and Peter also discussed keeping their children Amelia, six, and Theo, three, out of the spotlight, as the Mysterious Girl hitmaker said he respected her desire to not show their faces on social media or on TV.

‘Millie has already asked me why her face can’t be shown on TV but I 100 per cent don’t think it’s the right thing to do,’ Emily admitted.
The doctor said she wouldn’t change her mind until the pair become teenagers, as she wanted them both to consider ‘the pros and cons’ of the internet before showing themselves.
Peter’s children Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, who he shares with ex-wife Katie Price have featured on reality TV shows since they were born, and so have shown their faces on social media.
The pop star recently admitted that his doctor wife has been ‘incredible’ at having the ‘uncomfortable’ chats with her step-children, but insisted that he’s ‘trying to get better at it.’

The father-of-four made the revelation while speaking on their YouTube reality show Life With The Andres.
Peter said: ‘When you’ve got four children of all different ages, it’s really important that you split time between everybody…I’m trying my best, and Emily of course does the same.
‘She’s incredible and she has great conversations with Princess that maybe I wouldn’t necessarily feel that comfortable having – although I’m trying to get better at it.
‘Same with Junior, he asks medical things that I wouldn’t know the answer to, it’s great I have that helping hand in Dr. Emily.’
