A mother has gone viral after revealing her bizarre hack for keeping her children from using the decorative towels in her bathroom.

Jessica has people wondering if she is brilliant or unhinged after she took to TikTok last week to share a video of herself nailing a black towel to a wall.

She expressed her frustration in the on-screen text, writing, ‘When your kids don’t know what a decorative towel is….’

The footage shows the mom using a hammer to nail the inside of an artfully folded towel to the wall, ensuring it can’t be ripped off the rack.

Jessica then drops the front of the towel and zooms the camera out to reveal the final results.

The stack of three hanging towels looks perfectly normal — no one would know the bottom one was nailed down unless they tried to move it.

Jessica hilarious set the video to Taylor Swift’s revenge hit ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ and added the hashtags #momhacks, #toweldesign, and #toweldecoration in the caption.

The 11-second clip has been viewed 3.9 million times and has received more than 1,400 comments, but not everyone was on board with the hack.

Many people pointed out that the towel still needs to be cleaned regularly, and her children were likely going to continue using it.

‘So [you’re] gonna have a dirty, “decorative” towel that you have to unnail from the wall. Genius idea!!!’ one person sarcastically replied.

‘They’re still gonna use it. Now it’s just nailed to the wall,’ someone else added.

‘You still need to wash it,’ another argued.

‘I think I’ll probably let it MOLD and turn green before I let my expensive a** “decorative” K-Mart towel be easily untacked from the wall,’ Jessica hit back.

The mom also added that she doesn’t care if the towels are expensive or not, it’s the principle of the matter.

‘I don’t care what kinda towel, she be lookin pretty…They can use the other towels on the other towel racks,’ she insisted.

There were plenty of commenters who admitted they had no idea people had ‘decorative towels,’ and some even felt bad for her children because of her strict household.

‘My parents were like this….was happy to move out, I grew up in a museum it was torture,’ one person shared.

However, there were also viewers who could relate to her frustration and have had similar struggles in their own homes.

‘Kids? My in-laws don’t know what a decorative towel is!’ one user noted.

‘I did it… but with pins… yip. It’s me. I’m the problem. It’s me,’ someone else confessed.

‘Man I came here expecting most people to agree. Do they not realize how long we spend picking out the perfect color?!’ another asked.
