He’s the former Home and Away actor who has reinvented himself as a laidback rocker.

Speaking to 9Now on Wednesday, the 34-year-old singer explained he has rarely interacted with other musicians before his time on the competition show.

‘I don’t usually meet other singers! I do a lot of acoustic gigs, but they’re usually solo,’ Mark said.

He went on to describe his competitors on the Channel Nine singing show as ‘incredibly talented, mostly professional musicians’.

‘They’re from all different types of genres and I’m like, the rock guy hanging out in the corner!’ he added.
