Former UFC referee ‘Big’ John McCarthy labels Dana White a ‘pathetic, clickbait b****’ after he shares video slamming his critics and toasting his promotion’s success during the pandemic
EX-UFC referee ‘Big’ John McCarthy has branded Dana White ‘pathetic’ and a ‘clickbait b****’ after the promoter shared a video toasting his company’s successful response to the Covid-19 pandemic and ripping into those who criticised it early on.
White was met with plenty of backlash when the UFC began to stage events again in the early stages of the pandemic while all other major sports remained on hold.
He even delivered on his promise to host bouts on a ‘Fight Island’, moving events to Abu Dhabi so international fighters unable to fly Stateside due to travel restrictions could compete.

The promotion has since received global recognition for the moves they made and White has clearly not forgotten the naysayers.
The UFC president took to social media to post a five-minute long video, singling out all those who questioned his methods.
It included a clip of legendary official McCarthy, in which he said the UFC was more interested in ‘lining their pockets with money’ than the ‘safety of the production staff and people they have fighting for them.’
And the former UFC referee was not impressed, accusing White of taking his comment ‘out of context’ and saying the video itself is ‘clickbait’.
McCarthy said on his podcast ‘Weighing In’: ‘[Dana White] says ‘I don’t give a f*** about the media,’ but then he always complains about clickbait. ‘
‘These media guys and that clickbait bulls*** they do. What the f*** did you and your little team do, man?
‘You little clickbait b****. I just cracked up. I go, ‘You are so pathetic’.
‘First off, you need to have your own little pat on the back, ‘OK, let me pat you on the back,’ because you took everything out of context and made it to where were you were the hero.
‘Congratulations, hero Dana. Oh, let me bow down to you. Unbelievable. My god.
‘When are you going to figure out? You know what? Just don’t worry about it. Do your thing you did. You did great. The UFC had a fantastic year.
‘Let’s be honest about everything that occurred, and let’s be honest about your video because your video is clickbait, and it’s bulls***, and it’s out of context. It’s ridiculous.’
