Friends of a 33-year-old woman who went missing two days ago have insisted ‘something has happened to her’ as the search continues.

Marketing manager Sarah Everard, from Lambeth, south London, was last seen walking between Clapham Junction and Brixton at 9pm on Wednesday after meeting with a friend.

She had a 15-minute phone call with her partner – where they discussed meeting the following day – which ended around 9.30pm and she has been unreachable since.

Friends of Ms Everard, who is 5ft 4 with blonde hair, described her as ‘basically the most caring person you could ever meet in your life’ and said she has never disappeared before.

Ms Everard was ‘excited’ to start a new job and did not vanish willingly, her loved ones say, as they insists ‘something has happened’ to her.

Ms Everard’s university friend Rose Woollard, a teacher, told MailOnline: ‘When my mum passed away she rang me every day.

‘She’s really caring, thoughtful and never has a bad word to say about anyone ever.

‘It couldn’t have happened to a nicer person. This has never happened before.

‘I spoke to her earlier that day, she was fine. We talked about how boring our days have been. I think she was dealing with lockdown like we all are.’

When asked what she thinks happened to Ms Everard, Ms Woollard said: ‘I know that it is not her that has taken herself off anywhere. Something has happened to her on her ride home.

‘We just hope that it is not a stranger.’

Her family and friends released a plea for her return, saying: 'Sarah, we are here for whenever you are ready'

Ms Everard’s phone signal was last located somewhere close to Clarence Avenue, Clapham, her loved ones say.

Friends raised the alarm when they couldn’t reach her on Thursday and police were notified at 8pm.

She was wearing a green waterproof jacket, navy trousers with a white diamond pattern and a pair of white trainers.

She carrying a transparent case with green in-ear Bluetooth headphones.

On what she would say to Ms Everard, Ms Woollard said: ‘We lover her and we miss her and we want her to be found safely as soon as possible.

‘Everybody that I can possible think of is out looking and doing what they can to help.’

Her family and friends earlier released a plea for her return, saying: ‘Sarah, we are here for whenever you are ready.’

Her loved ones added: ‘We can listen, talk you through what help you need, pass a message for you and help you to be safe.’
