Furious Arsenal fans gather outside the Emirates Stadium to call for Stan Kroenke to sell up in protest Gunners’ involvement in European Super League ahead of Everton clash

Arsenal fans have gathered in their masses to protest the club’s role in the European Super League, with anger among supporters showing no sign of subsiding following a disastrous week for England’s Big Six.

Headlines have been dominated by the failed attempt to form a breakaway league, in which twelve European heavyweights joined the JP Mogan-backed scheme that threatened to debilitate the football landscape.

The competition received widespread backlash from fans, pundits and even UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson with Arsenal among the six English participants to announce plans to withdraw from the ESL on Tuesday night.

However, fans remain unhappy following the episode, with Gunners supporters telling Josh Kroenke, owner of son Stan, to leave the club during a hostile fans forum on Thursday evening.

And Arsenal supporters have gathered outside the Emirates Stadium to voice their grumblings over the club’s role in the breakaway league, with calls for the unpopular owner to sell up in the aftermath of the farce.

The Gunners are understood to have been architects behind the ploy alongside the American owners of Liverpool and Manchester United, as well as Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

However, Josh Kroenke and Arsenal CEO Vinai Vinkatesham insisted the club was one of the last to join as the pair faced the music in a gruelling virtual Q&A with supporters.
