Gwyneth Paltrow drives Twitter into a frenzy with the yonic poster for her upcoming series

Goop is headed to Netflix and Gwyneth Paltrow is not holding back.

As she prepares to launch The Goop Lab series on streaming giant Netflix, the 47-year-old will dive into the the boundary-pushing — and sometimes dangerous — wellness treatments featured on her lifestyle website.

The teaser for the show was released on Monday and sparked delight among fans as the A-lister, 47, was seen detailing an employee’s exorcism, devising a vagina workshop and focusing on energy healing.

Pushing boundaries: Gwyneth Paltrow explores psychedelics, female sexuality, and energy healing in her new Netflix show, The Goop Lab

In the poster for the show, the actress, in a pink midi dress, is centered on the poster, at the middle of the vertical marquise shapes.

In varying shades of pink, the lightest at the edges and getting darker every ring inwards, the pointed ovals easily resemble female anatomy.

‘Reach new depths,’ is written in white all caps over Gwyn.

Considering The Goop Lab will focus on female sexuality and sexual pleasure, along with psychedelics and energy healing, the connection was likely intentional.

Fans and casual observers of the poster were quick to point out the yonic nature of the poster and took to Twitter to voice their thoughts.

Some were very direct in their response, with one account writing ‘Surely they could have chosen a less vaginal image for a show called #Goop.’ ‘Ladies, please check your vaginas in case yours is the one Gwyneth is lost in,’ another user wrote.

While others were less direct and went a more light-hearted route. One fan wrote: ‘This poster gives a whole new meaning to “what’s in the box???.”‘

“OB-GWYN,’ another fan added, as a fellow wrote, ‘It’s a Monday morning OMG.’

Keeping a very open mind is undoubtedly a requirement to work at Goop, and in the clip, Gwyneth asks her employees: ‘We’re here one time, one life. How can we really milk the s**t out of this?’

The trailer is broken down into sections: energy healing, psychedelics, cold therapy, psychic mediums, and orgasm — all topics that have been explored by the lifestyle guru and her team.

‘What we try to do at Goop is explore ideas that may seem out there or too scary,’ Elise explains while footage from the series shows her meditating with her boss and sporting a face full of acupuncture needles.

‘Just another day at the office,’ she says with a laugh in another scene.

While Elise doesn’t divulge what exactly when down during her exorcism, Gwyneth says, ‘Oh, wow!’ when the CCO says she had one.

The up-close and personal look at psychedelics in the series shouldn’t be surprising considering Gwyneth predicted they would be the next ‘big’ wellness trend during an interview with the New York Times in March 2019.

While she believed their effects on mental health and addition would ‘come more into the mainstream,’ she admitted that she was too ‘terrified’ to try them herself.

Viewers will have to tune into The Goop Lab to see if she has a change of heart.

Gwyneth and Elise interview a variety of researchers, doctors, and ‘alternative health practitioners,’ including psychic medium and author Laura Lynne Jackson — who has stopped taking on new clients because of her ‘years-long’ wait list.

The wildest chat, however, may be their conversation with an expert on female sexuality and orgasms.  When Gwyneth asks her what happens in one of her workshops, she bluntly replies: ‘Everyone gets off.’ ‘What the f**k are you doing to people?’ Gwyneth asks with a smile.

The woman stresses that you ‘want to talk about the vulva,’ while the clip shows her guiding a female client as she looks at her vagina with a mirror.

The expert asks Elise if she has ever seen herself in that way, and when she says, ‘No,’ the interviewee asks, ‘Why not?’

Gwyneth has come under fire over the years for touting eccentric and expensive health fads on Goop, including vaginal steams, a ‘psychic vampire repellent,’ and detoxes.

In September 2018, Goop paid $145,000 to settle a lawsuit accusing it of making unsubstantiated claims about the health benefits of vaginal eggs and a flower essence that ‘could help prevent depression.’

Goop has been barred from making any claims regarding the health benefits of its products ‘without possessing competent and reliable scientific evidence,’ and from manufacturing or selling any falsely advertised medical devices.

However, that doesn’t mean Gwyneth and her team have squelched their desire to try far-out practices in the name of wellness.

‘The Goop Lab explores the universal questions we’re inherently curious about,’ Gwyneth said in a statement about the show.

‘We took the open-minded approach that we’ve cultivated at Goop and applied a different, visual lens with Netflix. In the process, we found new ways to answer this: How do we make the most of our lives?’
