She is a popular television presenter, style icon and devoted mother to two young children.

And Helen Skelton wrapped up warm against the elements as she put on a chic display at the BBC Radio 2 studios on Saturday.

The Countryfile presenter, 36, looked delighted as she exited the studios clad in a flowing scarlet animal-print skirt and knee-high suede boots.

Clutching a hefty chocolate leather travel bag, the former Blue Peter star donned a sleeveless beige turtleneck, teamed with a small necklace charm.

The beauty completed her stylish ensemble in a black leather jacket with shearling trim.

Helen went for a light makeup look to display her natural beauty, and left her blond tresses to fall loosely over her shoulders.

She had earlier been interviewing former special forces soldiers Jay Morton and Ollie Ollerton, who together host Channel 4’s Who Dares Wins series which returns on Sunday.

The gruelling show sees 25 hopefuls face an intense SAS-style training course led by chief instructor Ant Middleton.

Sharing a snap of her with the military tough men, she wrote: ‘Nervous laughter… don’t make me do a 100 press ups and fall backwards out of a helicopter…. good luck with the new series of SAS Who Dares Wins…’

Helen co-presented the children’s programme Blue Peter from 2008 until 2013, and is currently a presenter on Countryfile.

She also juggles her work commitments with raising two young children, Ernie, four, and Louis, two.

In an exclusive interview with MailOnline last year, the presenter touched on whether she and husband Richie are planning to expand their family, and how she ‘enjoys’ exercising even more since she welcomed her sons.

Helen exclusively said that she’s grateful for her flexible working schedule as it allows her and Richie to evenly divide the parenting duties.

She explained: ‘We talk so much about it being mums doing the school run but its dads doing it too!

‘I’m really lucky that we both work weekends, between me and my husband our working schedule is spread over seven days, one of us can get a day off in the week.

‘It means I can do nothing for two weeks and have a week that’s really intense. When you’re self-employed people think ,”how do you do that?”, But I think it is just juggling.’
