Iggy Azalea responds to fans questioning why she never shared a pregnancy photo shoot

Iggy Azalea has responded to fans questioning why she never shared photos of herself while pregnant with her newborn son Onyx.  

The Fancy hitmaker, 30, was bombarded with questions about her pregnancy on Monday after fellow rapper Nicki Minaj, 37, debuted her baby bump in a glamorous photo shoot on social media. 

‘Where’s your pregnant photo shoot!???’ one fan tweeted at Iggy following Nicki’s pregnancy announcement.  

‘My dog ate my homework,’ the Australian superstar joked. 

Many fans rushed to praise ‘classy’ Iggy for keeping her pregnancy a secret until after her son was born, unlike so many other celebrities. 

‘People have such weird expectations if celebrities. Damn let the hunny breathe,’ one user Tweeted.   

‘Girl, whether we see them or not, they gotta exist and i bet you looked stunning,’ another added. 

Nicki surprised fans on Monday after she shared images of herself cradling her baby bump while dressed in several eye-catching outfits on Instagram. 

The Anaconda singer kept it simple with her caption, only writing ‘#Preggers’ and adding a yellow heart emoji. 

For months there have been rumours that the chart-topping singer was pregnant, but she never confirmed nor denied.

Her husband is 42-year-old Kenneth ‘Zoo’ Petty, whom she tied the knot with in 2019. 

Meanwhile, on June 10 Iggy announced she’d given birth in secret, telling her Instagram followers: ‘I have a son.’ 

The notoriously private musician added: ‘I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realise I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world.’ 

Iggy has since revealed her son’s name is Onyx.  

Though she has not revealed the father of her son, reports have claimed it is her longtime boyfriend, rapper Playboi Carti.  

News of the child’s birth first surfaced in early May, when TMZ reported that she and Playboi Carti had welcomed a son together.
